The highlands project is located in Maharashtra and spread over a sprawling 2190 acres of land from which about 800 acres is located on a fl at table land at an elevation of 500 feet above sea level. The entire 2190 acres enjoys a 180 degree panoramic view of the Arabian sea. The site is located adjacent to the emerald island, and the main aim is to compliment the island project. The highlands are more of accommodation facilities and vacation homes. The highlands are mainly divided into 9 zones, each having a unique themed accommodation facility. It has golf course homes, vineyards, ranch homes, wooden chalets, log cabins and beach homes. The most striking feature is a well developed marina as per international standards that has three 5-Star hotels, shopping and entertainment and a parking facility for 300 yachts. It has a remote bay docking facility for a cruise-liner ship that can accommodate 800 people, hence putting the highlands on the international cruise circuit !!! Master planning emerald highlands was a mammoth task which master planning team meticulously divided into different work frames and a comprehensive strategy was worked out. Land use plan was one of the work frames in developing the master plan.
