The design team aimed at giving a new face to the lakes of kalyan dombivali. With regards to reverence & respect to Mother Nature, kalyan – dombivali Municipal Corporation has selfl essly put the front foot forward, in the herculean task of beautifying the eight lakes in the locales of kalyan-dombivali district. Prior to commissioning anydevelopment on the lake front dredging and desiltation of the holding capacity of the of the lake and restore its ecological balance. A physical barrier in the form of geotextile fabric or wire mesh needs to be created within the lake at a distance of approx .20 m from banks so as to act as a catchment area of any waste disposal or silting along the banks of the lake clean and controlling sedimentation. This peripheral section of the lake could be cleaned regularly under the K.D.M.C jurisdiction.
