In the Master planning of 107 acres of land for GHP Township, the team elaborated the concept of community living into the program LIVE-LEARNPLAY. This concept was extensively applied throughout the master plan to the residential and commercial districts and their articulating spaces. One of the key ideas was to develop frontage along the Khapoli by-pass road, hence attaining physical signifi cance along the main road. This shall ascertain a greater footfall for the development. Providing shelter and recreation spaces along this frontage to invite passers-by to halt and view the entire township from an elevated level was the other strategy employed. Strategy of no deforestation was adopted. The idea of a transit oriented development helped in the proper segregation of zones and making the community pedestrian friendly.
